This program is specially designed for the 2 to 3 year old; students must be 2 by September 1 in order to be eligible for the program. The classroom is set up in the same learning centers as the Preprimary program, but the materials within these areas are geared to this age child. Emphasis is placed on Practical Life and Sensorial experiences. Children learn care of oneself, care of the environment, acceptable social relationships, and control of movement. Verbal language skills and physical skills are highlighted.
Students may be enrolled for two, three, or five mornings per week. The two-day option is Monday and Tuesday; three-day option is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Morning classes are held from 8:15–11:15 A.M. Since we are considered a school by the State of Indiana, toddlers are not eligible for the All-Day Program (i.e., toddlers may not be in school for more than four hours). A ratio of six to seven students per teacher is maintained.
