Spanish Program

This program is offered to any student who is 3 years old by September 1 and is potty-trained and no longer napping. The program follows the Montessori philosophy and uses Montessori materials just as in the Early Childhood Program. This bilingual program exposes children to the Spanish language and various Hispanic cultures through immersion. The children are presented information on Hispanic cultures, arts, and music in an atmosphere that is interesting, exciting, and educational. Instruction is in Spanish by native Spanish speakers.

The Spanish program has a 2-day, 3-day or 5-day option. If a child is enrolled in the 2-day option the child must also be enrolled in another Early Childhood program.

This class is in session from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. The 2-day class meets on Tuesday and Thursday and the 3-day class meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and the 5-day class meets on Monday through Friday. A ratio of 12 students to 1 teacher is maintained.  Children coming from a morning class will eat lunch in the Spanish room at 11:30 am.
