Silent Journey and Discovery

Begins in the Office

Have you ever wished you could experience Montessori through a child's eyes?  We would like to offer you the next best thing.  This is your opportunity to see the classrooms as your children do and to use the same materials they use to develop their bodies, minds, and spirits.  The Silent Journey and Discovery will take you on two guided tours of the school, starting as an infant and progressing through the Toddler, Preprimary, and Elementary classes.  The first tour is silent, spending time in each room looking, but not touching.  The second tour is where you get to discover, use the materials, ask questions, and take part in the teacher's presentations.  We will wrap up by gathering together for refreshments and discussion.

Parent/Infant Class

Tuesdays or Fridays, starting October 3, 2017

Maple Room

Parents/adults and children attend a weekly classroom session in a stimulating environment developed specifically for children one to two years old.  The focus is on physical development, nutrition, and emerging language.  The parent’s presence in the classroom provides comfort and security for the child; the classroom setting provides a unique opportunity for the very young child to be with peers, learning the very basic rule of society – peaceful coexistence.  A trained family educator serves as the classroom teacher and is a resource for parents on parenting issues.  Class size: ten children plus their adult.  Either or both parents, a babysitter, or relative may attend the weekly classes.

This class is open to the public and limited to ten families.  There is a $50 non-refundable application deposit for this class.  The annual tuition for this program is $729.
