Hello MSGL Families and Friends,

We are happy to announce that we have already raised over $1,600 towards our $20,000 capital campaign goal so far this year. As you know we are raising money to replace the roofs for both of the main buildings on campus. This is a present and urgent need for the school. We currently have 7 people raising money on MSGL’s behalf via the firstgiving website, meaning they have started their own firstgiving page and invited their friends, families, and colleagues to donate to their cause. This is a grassroots campaign, and it can only work if we get a majority participation among our own MSGL community.

We have about 140 families here at MSGL. If each family donated $50 and then raised another $100 in donations, we will be able to achieve our goal. How does each family raise a $100? It’s ultimately up you and what you feel comfortable with. This year, MSGL has teamed up with firstgiving to make it as easy as possible for you to campaign for your cause and raise money for MSGL. Firstgiving is an online tool that allows you to email your page to your friends, families, and colleagues. But I have also heard of other creative ideas such as one family that walked their neighborhood with their child to collect spare change for the cause.

However you choose to participate, the important part is that you do something. We all need to work together to protect our investment, your participation is vital to the success of our school community.
