Fay Mentzer

Fay Mentzer assists Stacie Seipel in the Extended Day Kindergarten Program.

She was first introduced to the Montessori model during her undergraduate degree at Shippensburg University. The Elementary Education program was focused on the Montessori philosophy. When Nathan, her husband, and Fay moved to West Lafayette in 2009, they were thrilled to find a Montessori school with an elementary program. Their oldest son, Everest, has been in Globe Willow, Catalpa Pods and currently in Hickory. Their middle son, Leaf was in Spruce, Catalpa, Globe Willow and now Catalpa Pods. Their daughter, Aurora is in Globe Willow and White Oak this year. They have interacted with many teachers and families, and had many experiences with the MSGL community over the years, and have loved all of them.

Fay and her husband are former teachers; they appreciated all the parent volunteers in their children's classrooms. Now that they are parents, they are pleased to have the opportunity to pay it back. Being a parent-run school, Fay has volunteered in many different aspects of the school, in the classroom, on committees, on the school board, and on the building of the playground. Fay looks forward to continuing her volunteerism in the coming years and now joining the MSGL teaching staff.
