Heather Francis - Board Member

As a parent to one Montessori alum and one current student I am excited to have the opportunity to serve on the board at the Montessori School of Greater Lafayette.  My experience with MSGL started in 2005 when my then 3 year old daughter began 2 afternoons a week.  She went on to 3 afternoons a week and was going 5 full days by her third year.  Leia is now in a 2/3 GT program at Burnett Creek Elementary and I believe MSGL gave her the foundation for current academic success.  Cole, age 4,  is currently thriving 3 afternoons a week in Canoe Birch and will be attending five mornings for the 2011-12 school year. I have been involved throughout the years as both a classroom volunteer and auction committee member at MSGL.

I am originally from Albuquerque, NM and came to West Lafayette via Purdue in 1997.  I met my husband Ben in 2000.  Upon graduating from Krannert in 2001, I began working alongside him at Clay Critters, a refrigerator magnet manufacturer and family business in West Lafayette.  We have spent the last few years growing the business which has been both incredibly fulfilling and challenging.  I am looking forward to using my experiences as both a businesswoman and mother to better serve the MSGL organization.
