Fay Menzter - Board Member

I was first introduced to the Montessori model during my undergraduate degree at Shippensburg University. The Elementary Education program was focused on the Montessori philosophy. When my husband, Nathan and I moved to West Lafayette in 2009, we were thrilled to find a Montessori school with an elementary program. Our oldest son, Everest, has been in Globe Willow, Catalpa Pods and currently in Hickory. Our middle son, Leaf was in Spruce and now in Catalpa. Our daughter, Aurora is in Spruce this year. We have interacted with many teachers and families, and had many experiences with the MSGL community over the years, and we have loved all of them.

My husband and I are former teachers; we appreciated all the parent volunteers in our classrooms. Now that we are parents, we are pleased to have the opportunity to pay it back. Being a parent-run school, we have volunteered in many different aspects of the school, in the classroom, on committees, on the school board, and on the building of the playground. We look forward to continuing our volunteerism in the coming years.
