My first experience with Montessori was when I was four years old, attending a Montessori school in Milwaukee, my hometown. I loved it! I am so happy to have my daughter, Emily, continuing in this Montessori tradition – she is currently enrolled at MSGL in the Globe Willow class. Each week, I enjoy volunteering in Emily’s classroom, working with the children at the Sound Table on Fridays. It has been a pleasure to observe Emily’s social, emotional, and academic growth as she interacts with the teachers and the other children. My husband and I moved to Indiana in 2001 so that I could accept a position at Purdue University, where I am currently an Associate Professor in the Sociology Department and the Law & Society Program. We came here from Wisconsin, where I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology and my J.D. in Law from UW-Madison. As an educator, I am consistently impressed with everyone at MSGL – teachers, staff, students, and parents. I would enjoy becoming more involved in the school and would do whatever I could to help it continue to grow and thrive, just as MSGL enables its children to grow and thrive.
